Kang Sung-hoon won his first title after 159 events on the PGA Tour. The South Korean claimed top honors at the Byron Nelson tournament in Dallas by two shots, finishing at 23-under-par, and will now see if he can build on his breakthrough at the upcoming PGA Championship.
Matt Every trailed Kang by three strokes at the start of the last 18 holes, before sinking the second of his seven birdies at two. The American went on to tie for second at minus-21.
He's joined there by compatriot Scott Piercy, who drained the third of his seven birdies at three and finished the weekend bogey-free, becoming the first player on the PGA Tour to accomplish that feat in nine years.
Three-time major winner Brooks Koepka began the fourth round with a birdie at one, the first of four in the afternoon to go along with an eagle, and ended up three off the pace at 20-under-par.
It wrapped up with Kang settling for a bogey at 18, after reclaiming the lead from Every with a 23-foot birdie putt on the 15th hole, to clinch his maiden victory on the North American circuit.
Kang's first win on the PGA Tour came nearly six years after the last of four in his home country. Koepka will now turn his attention to defending his PGA Championship, after looking solid in his final warm-up event, while Jordan Spieth wound up 12 behind.
