President Xi sends condolences to New Zealand Governor-General on deadly Christchurch shooting

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent condolences to New Zealand Governor-General Patsy Reddy on a deadly shooting in Christchurch, which killed at least 49 people and injured 48 others.  
The deadly shooting happened on Friday at two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch, which New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described as a "terror attack."
On behalf of the Chinese government, the Chinese people and in his own name, Xi expressed deep mourning for the victims and extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
The president wished an early recovery for the injured.
