Amid the speculation of being transferred to Juventus, Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently signed a deal with an Italian association to promote blood donations, according to the Spanish sports newspaper Marca.
The tattoo-free Ronaldo has always cherished his health, in part so that he can regularly donate blood. He said he was afraid that tattoos could result in a blood infection.
Now, Ronaldo has made an agreement with the Associazione Volontari Italiani Sangue (AVIS) to allow the Italian Blood Volunteering Association to use his image in posters and videos, encouraging people to donate blood.
AVIS is expected to release a video soon featuring the Portuguese forward, who will explain the importance of blood donation. It is likely to become hugely popular across the country as the four-time European Golden Shoes honoree is on the verge of a rumored move to the Turin-based Serie A giant Juventus.
Marce reported that, last week, the Portuguese ace was searching for a house in Turin that could provide safety and comfort for his family. Meanwhile, a local ice cream maker near Turin has started to sell "CR7 cup" gelatos in anticipation of his arrival in the city.
