Arsenal beat Chelsea 6-5 in a penalty shootout after their International Champions Cup match at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday finished 1-1.
Chelsea took the lead in the 5th minute when Antonio Rudiger headed a shot in from Cesc Fabregas' corner.
Maurizio Sarri's side had an excellent opportunity to double their advantage when the pacey Callum Hudson-Odoi was brought down in the area by Hector Bellerin in the 14th minute. The resulting penalty a minute later from Spanish striker Alvaro Morata was to Petr Cech's right and the former Chelsea keeper guessed right to save.
The impressive Hudson-Odoi beat an offside trap in the 42nd minute, but his shot came off Cech and German defender Shkodran Mustafi cleared it off the line. Arsenal improved in the second half as substitute Alexandre Lacazette pulled a shot just right of the post in the 76th minute.

Eight minutes later, another Arsenal sub, Alex Iwobi, was denied by Chelsea sub keeper Marcin Bulka. Bulka saved a shot from Lacazette in the 93rd minute but seconds later the Frenchman finally scored in his third attempt on goal after being teed up by Reiss Nelson.
The game went to penalties; the first five were expertly dispatched from each side.
England international midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, then had his spot kick saved by Cech.
The winning penalty was scored by Iwobi to seal a 6-5 shootout win.
