After a brief illness following the Argentina vs. Nigeria match, Argentine football legend Diego Maradona was back on his special World Cup show, “By the Hand of the Ten,” on Wednesday.
He was rushed to hospital because of a reported spike in his blood pressure after Argentina's victory against Nigeria on Tuesday.
The 1986 World Cup winning captain is deeply emotional about his national team and he talked about his excitement for the hard fought win, made an analysis of Argentina's tactics, praised Lionel Messi and hoped his team would go further.
During the program, the Argentine icon said that he enjoyed the encounter between Argentina and Nigeria. He also congratulated the Albiceleste for winning the important game against their African rivals.
Attributing Argentina’s success to Lionel Messi and his spectacular goal, the 57-year-old mentioned, “Nigeria do not know to play in tight spaces. Therefore, it’s always necessary to shrink them and not to leave any open space.”
