A magnitude-five earthquake jolted Mangya City of northwest China's Qinghai Province on Thursday morning, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The quake was detected at around 5:36 a.m. BJT (2136GMT Wednesday) at a depth of nine kilometers.
Strong tremors were also felt in its adjoining areas.
