China is delighted to see positive developments in Guinea-Bissau's internal situation, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during a meeting with Guinea-Bissau's President Jose Mario Vaz at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday.
China appreciates Guinea-Bissau's firm adherence to the one-China policy, the Chinese president said.
Xi said that China supports Guinea-Bissau's development path, which suits its national conditions.
Beijing hopes to boost cooperation in agriculture, health and medical care, he added.
China is helping Guinea-Bissau to achieve food self-sufficiency, Vaz said, noting that he hopes to learn more from China about national governance and poverty reduction.
Guinea-Bissau takes the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) as an opportunity and will actively expand cooperation in various fields with China, he said.
