Guatemala is on high alert following the deadly eruptions of the Fuego volcano, which has affected 1.7 million people, and forced the evacuation of over 3,000 residents.
The eruptions on Sunday and Tuesday killed at least 99 people, according to latest data released by Guatemala's National Forensic Sciences Institute.
Nearly 200 people remain unaccounted for as of Tuesday.
A chilling video shows the moment a wall of volcanic ashes "swallowed" a police car on a road in the country.
People could be seen running away from the fast moving cloud – some on foot, others on motorbikes – before suddenly disappearing.
The ash "turned everything into darkness like night," a report by CCTV said.
Although the policeman who took the video survived, it was not immediately clear if others were as lucky.
The country has not seen such a violent eruption of the Fuego volcano in over 100 years.
