The International Horticultural Exhibition will be held in Beijing's Yanqing District from April 29 to October 7. The official opening of Beijing Expo 2019 is drawing near, and all the preparation work has been completed.
Organizers said that the scale of the expo is the largest, and the number of the exhibitors is also the largest compared to previous horticultural expos.
A total of 110 countries and international organizations will take part, and 120 non-official exhibitors from 31 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have confirmed participation.

More than 2,500 cultural activities will be held during the expo.
And the volunteer recruitment work is going on smoothly. About 2,000 volunteers are ready to take part in the opening ceremony as well as other activities during the event. Many have the experiences of taking part in large scale activities and some can speak multi languages.
The theme of the expo is "live green, live better" and it shows the progress China has made on ecological issues.

Nearly 200,000 bushes, trees and other types of flora have been planted for the event. There is even a wetland, allowing birds to migrate here. It's designed to be a paradise for fish, birds, and amphibians.
Meanwhile, a lot of technology has been used in the project, such as a system on the roof for collecting rainwater.
This is the second time China will hold such a high-level horticulture expo. The southwestern Chinese city of Kunming held the expo in 1999.
