CMG inaugurates all-in-one media lab in Shanghai

China Media Group (CMG) has inaugurated on Sunday its 5G, 4K, and AI, an all-in-one media lab in Shanghai, in an attempt to apply the latest technology to the media industry in the metropolis.
As a gift to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Shanghai's Pudong New Area, the group also promised to use the lab filming a 4K ultra high definition documentary against a backdrop of Pudong's development over the past three decades.
Spearheaded of China's reform and opening-up policy, the 1,210-square-kilometer region on the east of the Huangpu River was chosen to host a pilot zone in 1990.
The once desolated farmland has now turned into a picturesque urban center with a futuristic skyline and sci-fi inspired skyscrapers.
"The purpose of this documentary is to give a panoramic view of the region's glorious history, and to give an in-depth interpretation of its pioneering role in China's reform and opening-up," said Shen Haixiong, president of CMG.
