Tibetan Opera is a form of drama that fuses dances, chants, songs, acrobatics and religious rituals to tell its story. Masks are essential as their colors and motifs indicate the role of the characters. The art form made it to China's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2006, and was included in UNESCO'S list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2009. CGTN reporters headed to Angren County in the Tibet Autonomous Region to experience Qiongba, one of the four genres of Tibetan Opera.
