China ready to face off challenges in BRI development

The office vowed to push forward the Belt and Road Initiative in a practical manner by improving the security systems of policies and the international cooperation mechanism.

According to Ning Jizhe, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, China will continue following the principle of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration, while adhering to the law of market economy and international general rules to achieve the goal of win-win cooperation.

In addition, the country looks to collaborate with more countries, while at the same time deepening mutual benefits. Keeping its door wide open is another key point. China aims to ramp up its efforts in trade and investment facilitation. More innovation actions will also be gradually carried out. Finally, China hopes to expand its cultural exchanges with other countries for more exchanges.

Also at the press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry calls for efforts from all parties during the briefing, quoting Chinese President Xi Jinping that although the initiative originates from China, it belongs to the whole world.

Multilateralism will be the foundation of China's development. The country will continue to respect the law from every country as well as the international rule to push the initiative a step forward.
