It all started with sports diplomacy. Kim Jong Un, the young leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, presented an intelligence and confidence well beyond his years through brisk diplomacy with Seoul, Beijing and Washington, bringing Asia's largest powder keg back from the brink of a nuclear war.
