Airbnb has recently launched an extraordinary experience, offering travelers and stargazers a closer glimpse of the Red Planet with a visit to the globe's largest telescope, the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC), in Spain’s Canary Islands.
It is reported that from July 27 to 31 this year, Mars will be the closest to the Earth as it has been since 2003. On July 27, Mars and the Earth will be in opposition, which means the Red Planet would shine brightest at that time and lead to the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st century, in which the moon would turn red and make a spectacular "blood moon" for the visitors.
