Ten photographic works won the grand prizes of a photography contest inspired by the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), according to the organizer China Radio International (CRI) Wednesday.
The prize winners are from Belarus, Laos, Myanmar, Turkey, and China. In addition, 100 photos from 13 countries won the prizes for excellence.
The winners were selected from about 11,500 pieces (collections) of photos submitted by photographers from 47 countries and regions along the Belt and Road.

Titled "On the Road," the contest was launched by CRI Online on February 28, calling for images reflecting cultural exchanges, friendly relations and customs of countries and regions involved in the BRI.
The candidates were not only evaluated by a jury of experts but also selected through online voting, which received 1.92 million votes from about 750,000 netizens.
The event also features massive stories behind the photos, which were "very ebullient and heart-warming," according to CRI.
The organizer is one of China's major multi-language media websites and now part of the country's predominant radio and television broadcaster, China Media Group.
