In Dao Wai district, Harbin City in northeastern China’s Heilongjiang Province, the scene at its Chinese-Baroque Historic Block is hard to miss. On one side of the buildings, a 3D mural brings the bustling scenes of a Chinese teahouse back to life. /VCG Photo
The 92 square-meter art piece features two floors of crowds sitting around tea tables wearing traditional gowns and long braids. It celebrates the heritage of the unique establishment of the teahouse, where people gather to chat, socialize, or enjoy entertainment as they sip a cup of tea. /VCG Photo
The unique characteristics of Chinese Baroque architecture can easily be seen from the building. On the other side, the building features western Baroque architectural elements, which blend traditional Chinese designs with western aesthetics. /VCG Photo
