China Media Group's (CMG) exhibition on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China Central Television (CCTV) and the development of China's television industry unveiled on Wednesday at the China Millennium Monument.

There are four theme exhibition areas designed for the event. Taking the historical development process as the timeline and with the major historical events as the focus, the exhibition presents CCTV's responsibility and mission and highlights its achievements over the past 60 years in various forms.

Through pictures and videos, the first theme shows that Chinese leaders have been attaching great importance to and providing great support for the development of CCTV and China's TV industry during the past six decades.

The second theme tells the glorious history of China's TV industry. Past photos and exhibits are used to review the development of CCTV from the initial period of construction to that of the reform and opening up, showing the evolution process of China's TV industry strength was increasing.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), CCTV has been making great efforts in exploring and expanding its innovative role to make positive influence on the public opinion. It also has made a qualitative leap in publicizing and reporting. The third theme, which tells the continuous progress of CCTV, use photo collections, video and data to fully demonstrate the responsibility of the state television.

The final theme of the exhibition presents CCTV's new start and chances. CCTV applies up-to-date communication technologies to daily operations, including using the 4K Ultra High Definition Screen and enhancing on-site interactive experience, highlighting the innovative integration pattern in the multimedia era.

The exhibition continues as an online show on the CCTV.com. Users can enter the online exhibition hall through mobile phones and computers, and get an immersive and roaming visit experience.
