Three killed, 23 injured in double-decker bus crash in Ottawa

A double-decker bus crashed in the Canadian capital of Ottawa on Friday, killing three people and injuring at least 23, nine critical, officials said.
The bus slammed into a bus shelter at Westboro station at about 3:50 p.m. local time. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mourned the victims on Twitter, saying "I want to send my deepest condolences to the families of victims and everyone affected by today's tragic bus crash in Ottawa."

During a news conference Friday evening, Ottawa mayor Jim Watson said two passengers and one person waiting on the platform died in the accident, and 23 were injured.
The Ottawa Hospital confirmed on Twitter that it had received nine patients in critical condition from the crash.
