Wimbledon is notorious for its strict etiquette. Players and spectators are expected to abide by the traditional rules, some of which date back to 1877 the year when the famous tennis tournament was founded.
Rules such as wearing only white on the court, no cheering while the players are playing and not allowing travel mugs on the court are only a few of the strict rules players and spectators are expected to abide by. Breaking the rules can result in fines and even bans from the premises in extreme cases.
So how much do you know about Wimbledon’s traditional etiquette and who has summoned the courage to break these historic rules?
