The Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link officially went into operation on Sunday. The Express Rail Link can reach 44 direct destinations and will realize what is described as a "one-hour living circle", connecting cities in south China's Greater Bay Area and greatly reducing rail travel time from Hong Kong to Beijing from 24 to less than nine hours.
