England's Judd Trump defeated home favorite Yan Bingtao for a place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing China Championship in Guangzhou.
An average shot time of just 17 seconds, and high breaks of 83 and 111, gave the 29-year-old the victory. Trump will face four-time world champion John Higgins next.
Earlier, the Englishman got off to a good start in the first frame with a long red pot.
Trump managed to go on a run of 51 before his opponent had the chance to come to the table.
When Yan did arrive there was a little on offer except defensive options, which handed another chance for Trump to increase his score. He readily took a 1-0 lead.

That allowed the Chinese back in to mop up the remaining 27 points, and level the contest at one frame all.
However, Yan's comeback fight didn't last long with Trump putting together breaks of 83, 55, 56, and 111 to put the game beyond any doubt.
He wrapped it up 5-1 to set up an all-British encounter with Higgins who overcame Scott Donaldson 5-3.
