Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.49 percent, at 2,889.76 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange closed 1.0 percent higher at 9,409.95 points.
The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 1.84 percent to close at 1,549.66 points.
