Chinese Premier Li Keqiang stressed on Wednesday that multilateralism should be held and that unilateral trade actions will not solve any problems.
"The trend of globalization is unstoppable. We should respect and tolerate each other, work together equally, and maintain the basic principle of free trade, even though there are flaws," Li said in a speech at the opening ceremony of the Summer Davos Forum in north China's Tianjin Municipality.
Chinese President Xi Jinping voiced China's determination of opening up in his speech at Davos in January 2017, Li recalled, adding that China will further speed up the process of opening up.

Problems need to be solved via communication, not unilateral actions, Li underlined.
This forum focuses on shaping innovative societies in the fourth industrial revolution. Nearly 200 meetings are to be held from Tuesday to Thursday. More than 2,000 guests from over 100 countries will attend the event.
Premier Li will hold talks with leaders from countries including Estonia, Latvia, Serbia, and Samoa, and exchange views with representatives from industry and commerce, finance, think tanks and media outlets.
