Chinese art pieces to dazzle in Asia Week New York 2019

Asia Week New York, now in its 10th anniversary, is set to take place in March 2019 throughout New York City, offering a nonstop round of gallery open houses, auction sales, exhibitions, lectures, and special events.
As the premier destination for Asian art collectors, curators, scholars and enthusiasts, the upcoming Asia Week will see dozens of auctions and gallery exhibitions featuring massive ancient or contemporary Chinese art pieces including paintings, sculptures and ceramics among the most striking events from March 13 through 23 next year.

A total of 48 world-renowned museums and six major auction houses including Bonhams, Christie's, Doyle and many more, will celebrate Asian art and culture and present a whole train of special events, drawing batches of visitors to join in the annual 10-day celebration.
"The breathtaking range of their expertise and offerings always impresses even the most seasoned patrons, which include collectors, curators, designers, and world-renowned tastemakers," said Christina Prescott-Walker, chairman of Asia Week New York.
Prescott-Walker also added that 10 prominent individuals will be honored in recognition of their contribution to the arena of Asian art and culture in the upcoming edition.

A Chinese version of the event website will be available by February next year to meet the increasing demands of Chinese-speaking buyers and audience.
Aside from memorable works of the Chinese art, Indian, Himalayan, Southeast Asian, Japanese and Korean art pieces will also be showcased by various cultural institutions and organizations.

A private, invitation-only reception, jointly hosted by the Asia Week and the Department of Asian Art of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will open in the Museum's art galleries to celebrate the festivities.
A smaller presentation of auctions and gallery exhibitions, as a teaser of the upcoming grand edition in March, was held from September 7 to 15, showcasing traditional and contemporary examples of the best of Asian painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, etc.
