China and Japan should promote bilateral ties on the right track to achieve new development, said Chinese President Xi Jinping while meeting with visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Beijing on Friday. President Xi welcomed Abe's official visit to China, and expressed appreciation for Abe's positive will to improve and advance Sino-Japanese relations in recent years. With concerted efforts, Sino-Japanese bilateral ties have returned to the right track and gained positive momentum, Xi noted.
