The ex-Spain coach Julen Lopetegui was in tears as he was unveiled as the new man in charge of Real Madrid after being sacked by the Spanish football federation two-days ago for disclosing the approach by Los Blancos.
In a press conference, the Spaniard broke down while describing his recent emotional roller-coaster, as he said that "yesterday was possibly the saddest day of my life since my mother's death, but today is the happiest day of my life."

The 51-year-old was dismissed by the Spanish football federation on Tuesday, just a day after the European Champions announced him as the new man in the dugout.
The man from the Basque, who turned out once during his playing days as a goalkeeper for Real, reportedly didn't tell SFF chief Luis Rubiales of his decision to leave after the World Cup and Rubiales only found out minutes before the revelation in the press conference.
The new Los Blancos boss has received huge backlash from Spain's media but has said he will watch the team, who are now under the guidance of Fernando Hierro, play Portugal in their opener and cheer on just like any other Spaniard.
