Chinese skier Xu Mengtao Wednesday won the bronze medal in the Ladies' Aerials at the FIS Freestyle Ski World Championships in Utah.
After the first jump, she was out in front and just about staying on her feet as the next attempt but tumbled down after landing. The 2013 world champ finished third.
The 28-year-old has two World Cup victories to her name, competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics finishing 8th and then earned silver four years later in Sochi.
Belarusian Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya, as she took gold in the event, was flawless in winning her first major title, out-doing Russian Liubov Nikitina. Defending champions Ashley Caldwell of the U.S. came fifth.
