An 11-month-old baby was rescued after spending 35 hours in the wreckage of a collapsed building in Russia's southwestern city Magnitogorsk on January 1. Doctors said the baby is conscious but still in an "extremely serious" condition. At least eight were killed and more than 30 people remain missing after the explosion tore through the apartment building, leaving hundreds without a home on New Year’s Eve.
