November 9 marks China's National Day of Fire Fighting. A fire drill was held in the largest city complex in Taiyuan, capital of north China's Shanxi Province. Around 1,000 firefighters and local residents took part in the drill.
What impressed the locals was how these brave firefighters climbed up and down the hanging rope from outside the building.

China has more and more of similar city complexes popping up across the country. And fire breaking out in such public places would cause substantial casualties if not dealt with properly.
