China is willing to work together with Chile and other countries in the world to build a community with a shared future that does not target or exclude any third party, China's top legislator Li Zhanshu said on Friday when meeting with Maya Fernandez Allende, president of the Chilean Chamber of Deputies.
Allende is on a visit to China from Thursday to next Wednesday.
Li, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, said Beijing is committed to promoting the building of an open world economy and a community with a shared future for mankind.
Such a community is built on equality and mutual benefits and aims for common development, he stressed.
Li said China's NPC and the Chilean Chamber of Deputies should better support the two countries' cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative by improving the legal and business environment.
Allende said the Chilean Chamber of Deputies is willing to make joint efforts with China's NPC to boost people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Chile will continue to adhere to the one-China policy, she noted.
