When speaking at the BRICS Business Forum in Johannesburg in July, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized that China and African countries are destined to be good friends, good brothers and good partners.
The 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held from Sept. 3 to 4 in Beijing, is themed "China and Africa: Toward an Even Stronger Community with a Shared Future through Win-Win Cooperation."
President Xi, who will chair the Beijing summit, has made many impressive remarks on China-Africa ties. Here are some highlights.

'Go hand in hand'

China, Africa should walk hand in hand. This idea is rooted in the traditional friendship and mutual support between China and Africa. President Xi has stressed many times that China and Africa should build a community with a shared future.

'Win-win cooperation'

The concept of "win-win cooperation" provides a strong impetus for the development of China-Africa relations. President Xi has noted many times that the Sino-African cooperation is a successful model for the win-win development among developing countries.

'Common development'

The idea of common development will contribute to a better vision for China-Africa ties. China has put forward new goals and new ideas for the country's economic development at the next stage, while African countries are striving for self-improvement, development and revitalization in accordance with Agenda 2063. As President Xi has repeatedly pointed out, the Chinese Dream and African dreams synergize very well with each other.
