The 2nd CGTN Global Media Summit and 8th Video Media Forum will be held in Chongqing in southwest China on October 16 and 17.
Experts from leading media organizations will come from around the world to discover fresh opportunities, explore the future of media development and discuss new technologies under the theme of "Opening and Connecting the World."
The summit will be hosted by China Global Television Network (CGTN) and CCTV News Content Co., Ltd. (CCTV+) and co-hosted by China Global Television Network Corporation, Chongqing Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee and Communication University of China.
What's it about?
Discussions will revolve around key aspects of the media industry, including innovative business models, media dilemmas, coverage of major events, distrust in the media, the realizable assets of content, personal information security on social media, new patterns of media convergence and transformation.
Advances in new media technology have sped up the innovative approaches of media dissemination. The summit will also cover the development prospects of video media in the 5G era and applications of blockchain technology.
