Footage released by the U.S. Forest Service on November 27 showed how the gimmick led to a costly wildfire in southern Arizona in 2017 that caused more than 8-million-U.S.-dollar's worth of damage. Dennis Dickey organized a party to reveal the gender of his upcoming child on April 23, 2017. He set up a target with the words "Boy" and "Girl" written on it, meant to burst to pink or blue. However, the explosives went horribly wrong, leading to a wildfire that burned through 47,000 acres in southern Arizona.
