Nepal's "day of the dogs" was celebrated in Kathmandu on November 6. The police dogs got the day off from being law-enforcers. They were honored with garlands and blessed with tika, a colorful mark on the forehead. People say the "day of the dogs" is the celebration and pampering of canines for their cherished relationship with humans.
