A group of eight guided-missile frigates was reviewed at the naval parade to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the PLA Navy. The Linyi frigate was the first to be reviewed. It is the 13th type 054A guided-missile frigate built in China. The Huangshan frigate took part in naval escort missions in the Gulf of Aden and waters off Somalia as the frigate of the 2nd and 13th convoy fleets.
