A roof of a car dealership building collapsed in Shanghai's Changning District on Thursday morning, killing seven people and injuring 16 others.

Ten people have died in hospital after a wall collapsed in Shanghai's Changning District on Thursday morning, local authorities said. 
As of 1:45 a.m. on Friday, 25 people who were trapped have been rescued, 10 of whom died after ineffective treatment, according to the municipal bureau of emergency management.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.

As of Thursday night, the last two people were also rescued by firefighters.
Except for the seven dead, all have been rushed to the hospital.
However, rescuers are still searching at the scene to rule out any potential victims under the rubble.

Death toll from Thursday's incident has risen to seven.
Those deceased were among 21 people who have been freed from debris, according to the Shanghai emergency department.
Rescuers are still searching for two people who are believed to be the last two construction workers under the debris.
Following the incident, a group of Shanghai government officials including Mayor Ying Yong have arrived at the scene.

Five of the 19 people pulled out from Thursday's incident were confirmed dead as of 16:45, the Shanghai government confirmed in a social media post.
The remaining 14 people are receiving treatment in hospitals and are now in stable condition, it added.

Over 20 construction workers were trapped, and firefighters are still searching for survivors.

As of 16:40, 19 people were rescued as over 150 rescuers are now at the scene, where some remain trapped.
The car dealership building for Mercedes-Benz was under renovation when Thursday's incident occurred, according to the fire department, but the cause of the collapse remains unclear.

A total of 17 people were pulled out and sent to nearby hospitals as of 14:45 on Thursday, according to the city's fire department.

At least 11 people were pulled out from under the debris of a building that collapsed in Shanghai's Changning District on Thursday.
The building covers an area of 3,000 square meters, around 1,000 of which have collapsed.
Search and rescue efforts continue.

Four people were rescued from the rubble, as search and rescue efforts continue.
