French President Emmanuel Macron attended a solemn ceremony at the Douaumont Ossuary, a memorial to 130,000 unidentified French and German soldiers of WWI. On the same day, Macron and his Malian counterpart Ibrahim Boubacar Keita inaugurated a monument dedicated to African troops who served during WWI. On November 11, an international ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris will be held to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice.
