National Alpine Ski Center for Beijing 2022: Ready in October

This Friday marks 1,000 days until the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and preparations have been underway for test events with the National Alpine Ski Center set to be completed by October and then gear up to host a World Cup stop next year. 
For the Olympics, all the ice sports will be staged in Beijing, while snow sports will be held in the Yanqing District, Beijing, and Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. 
Situated in Xiaohaituo Mountain Area in northwest Yanqing District, the National Alpine Ski Center is designed to seat 5,000 people with a standing capacity of 3,500 for spectators, with its downhill track stretching 3 kilometers from a starting point at an altitude of 2,200 meters.  
The Center is set to be completed by October and will hold its first test event, the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup, in February.
