Andry Rajoelina has been declared winner of the presidential election runoff in Madagascar, according to results announced on Thursday by the country's electoral commission. But rival candidate Marc Ravalomanana's team has asked for the cancellation of the result in a filing with the High Constitutional Court, which has nine days to make a decision.
