Nine dead in north China’s Shanxi Province landslide

Nine people were killed in a landslide in Zaolin Village, Lishi District, Luliang City in north China’s Shanxi Province on early Monday morning, according to the press office of the municipal government’s official Weibo account.
The accident was reported by residents nearby at around 4:57 a.m. on Monday morning.
Earlier, it was reported that three people were confirmed dead and the fate of the other six remained unknown.
Following the incident, the city has established an emergency rescue team, the includes the fire and police departments. Four large machines and five ambulances have also been dispatched to the scene.
The rescue operation has nearly finished and restoration work is currently underway.
