Rare heavy downpour lashed Dalian city in northeastern China’s Liaoning Province, threatening to damage a key national seaborne test platform. Twelve military personnel risked their lives to reinforce the ropes on a wharf on August 20. However, three of them lost their lives in the process. The heroes’ names are Huang Qun, Song Yuecai and Jiang Kaibin.
