China's domestically developed Wing Loong I-D, the latest member of the Wing Loong unmanned aerial system (UAS) family, successfully completed its maiden flight on December 23. The Wing Loong I-D is the first of its kind developed in China, with the fuselage built completely from composite materials. The aircraft is a long-endurance UAS capable of high performance at medium altitudes on multiple missions.
