The Seventh Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo will open in Macao on April 26 with further expanded scale, the special administrative region (SAR)'s tourism office said on Tuesday.
Macao Government Tourism Office Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes told the press that the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area supports Macao to develop a series of global brands in exhibition and meeting, and she hoped that this year's edition would have higher accomplishments.
The exhibition floor is doubled from last year's to a total area of 22,000 square meters this year, accommodating 800 standard booths in total, from last year's 550.
The three-day event will present seven highlight parts, including the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Macao SAR, fostering tourism partnerships under the Belt and Road Initiative, and developing multi-destination itineraries in the Greater Bay Area.
