A southern elephant seal, thought to be from Antarctica, crossed over 6,500 kilometers of sea and made Cape Town's Fish Hoek beach its temporary home. The animal has made a nesting area for itself on the beach, a popular place with locals and tourists for swimming and whale watching, giving them an opportunity to get a closer look at this rare creature. Buffel is currently molting and will replenish its fur in around one month.
