In July, on the alpine scree of over 4,000m on the edge of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the noble rhubarb sees the most important blooming period of its entire life.

During this period, it is seen with a 1.5m-2m-tall inflorescence, which is covered under curtains of bright yellow bracts. From a distance, the noble rhubarb looks like a pagoda erected on the gentle slope atop the mountain.
