Pick things up on serve at 4-4 in the opener, and Federer puts pressure on the Spaniard's serve by coming to the net. Bautista Agut tries to lob his opponent, but the Swiss makes a remarkable overhead and would break in the game, and takes the set 6-4. Second set, and again, the Swiss Express with a chance to earn triple break point, he shows great court coverage and also impeccable reflexes, and fires it into the open court -- as he goes on to break, and lead. From there, it is easy sailing, holding the rest of the way -- and finishing off a straight sets triumph when his opponent finds the net. Feds now into the last four. 

 

ATP ROGERS CUP HAASE OUTLASTS SCHWARTZMAN 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 World No. 52 victory sets up semi-final clash with Federer in other action, it is Diego Schwartzman in white at the bottom of the screen up a set against Robert Haase. The two wage in a fantastic point, with the Argentine claiming this long rally after he unleashes a drop shot that his opponent can't reach. Schwartzman earns the point, but drops the set 6-3. So it is off to a decider, and the Dutchman would be the better player in the third, serving and holding three match points, and winning it with an inside out forehand that clips the line. He progresses 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 and gets Federer in the next round.
