In Wulong District of southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality, kids going to school could be very dangerous. They had to walk for three hours along worn and slippery paths to get to the nearest school in the mountainous area, and there were no proper steps along the way. In June 2017, local authorities decided to offer the children, as well as their parents, free cable car rides that run by the Furong Cave Scenic Spot halfway through the mountain.
