Lucy Hutton, 17, from Northumberland in the UK, recently won the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards for 2018 with a picture of the preserved body of tortoise Lonesome George, the last of his kind.
She had only six minutes to snap the Pinta Island Galapagos tortoise, whose death marked the final extinction of the species.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, an animal welfare organization in the UK, has been hosting the award sine 1990 in the hope of raising animal protection awareness. Young photographers aged up to 18 were invited to capture the animal kingdom on camera or a mobile device for this year's awards.
