Today marks the 10th anniversary of the Beijing Olympic Games and the 9th National Fitness Day.
In order to highlight the characteristics of Beijing as a double-Olympic city, the Beijing winter Olympic organizing committee launched nine limited edition licensed products today for Olympic fans and consumers to collect.
The limited edition licensed products include: Two badges, one sterling silver commemorative medallion, one copper gold-plated commemorative medallion, one notebook set, one souvenir cover and three stamp albums.
The shape of the “Double-Olympic City” badge comes from bamboo script used for writing in ancient China. The most representative auspicious cloud pattern of 2008 is being used to decorate the number “10” on the badge. The badges are limited to sales of 5,000 pieces.

The “10th-anniversary” badge is designed with many winter sports elements. With the preparation of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, winter sports are gradually becoming a new fashion among Chinese people. The badges are limited to sales of 1,000 pieces.

Sterling silver commemorative medallions and copper gold-plated commemorative medallions are limited to sales of 2,022 pieces each. The copper-plated commemorative medallion is 40 mm in diameter. The silver medallion, 35 mm in diameter, is made of pure silver and weighs 15 grams.
Both medallions use a unique coinage color printing process to present the image of the bird's nest, the venue of the opening ceremony of the two Olympic Games.

The notebook set contains one notebook and one pen decorated with red and blue. There are images of the lit torch on one side, and the image of the Winter Olympic Games on the other. It fully demonstrates Beijing's tradition and modernity.

In order to commemorate Beijing becoming the first city in history to hold both the summer and winter Olympic Games, with the approval of the International Olympic Committee, China Post group and the Samaranch foundation issued three commemorative postal albums: “Wonderful Beijing,” “Glory of Beijing” and “Dream Makes the World Greater.”
