Unlike last year, James put more back-court players and wingmen this time. By contrast, Antetokounmpo established a huge franchise just like the "Greek Freak" himself. Even James joked that Captain Giannis almost picked all the 6-9-feet (2.08 meters) and even higher ones before Aldridge was chosen by Team LeBron.
The two captains even "argued" over Ben Simmons, the second-year young man who was seen by many to become the next James. When Antetokounmpo selected Simmons, James swore in front of the camera. After the two finished their work, James suggested he wanted to trade Russell Westbrook for Simmons and, after seconds of laughers, his counterpart agreed.
In the newly added third round of member picking, James chose Dwyane Wade, no surprise to anyone, to join the "One Last Dance" of the Flash for the last time in their careers. Antetokounmpo went with Dirk Nowitzki, the European basketball icon.
If you take a look at the squads of the two sides, you will find that Team Giannis have six big men, only one more than Team LeBron after the trade. However, the way of how they play is the reason why Antetokounmpo's team seemed intimidatingly bigger. Embiid is the league's most destructive weapon in the paint. Blake Griffin still presents several dunks that can be put on posters. Westbrook is undoubtedly the most explosive guard while Antetokounmpo himself already earned a new nickname "center terminator" thanks to his habit of dunking over giants.
By comparison, James put up a new team of sharpshooters that included Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving and Bradley Bill. Even the big men of Team Lebron-Kevin Durant, Aldridge and Karl-Anthony Towns-are well-known for their shooting range. Besides, though the Los Angeles Lakers failed to acquire Anthony Davis via trade, James will have the chance to play with him at least in the All-Star Game.
